Charter Funding

LANL and the NMC, through an Institutional Agreement (IA), partner to develop research and educational programs.  Support for building collaborations is provided to the New Mexico universities through a competitive proposal process. Under this agreement the NMC shall:

1. Leverage the strengths of the three New Mexico research universities (NMSU, NMT and UNM) to achieve common goals;
2. Develop strategic relationships with government, industry and other universities in support of the collaboration between NMC and LANS;
3. Bring new research and educational opportunities to the collaboration between NMC and LANS; and
4. Provide common organization and facilities to support these initiatives.
