Big Science Meets the Bathtub Curve

The author's early adopter experiences on Red Storm and Q suggest that the ability of applications to cope with extremely high "infant mortality" rates will be a significant factor in determining the amount of productive computation that can be completed during the open science runs. This presentation will discuss strategies and a tool for enhancing user productivity during the Roadrunner "burn in" period.
